Zoo Med Bug Balance GUT-LOAD diet is expertly formulated to address the nutritional deficiencies commonly found in feeder insects, ensuring a more balanced and nourishing meal for your reptiles. Research shows that nutritionally appropriate bugs for reptiles are not only coated with supplements (dusted), but also fed a specialty diet (gut-loaded). This new and improved diet contains veterinary-recommended levels of calcium (8%) to help correct the inverse calcium-to-phosphorus ratios (Ca:P) typical of feeder insects. Pre-formed Vitamin A (retinol) provides a bioavailable source of vitamin A for all insect-eating reptiles, as many cannot utilize pro-vitamin A (beta-carontene). Our low-fat diet is a powerhouse of nutrition, crafted from plants like fresh endive and escarole, calcium-rich dandelion greens, yucca, and alfalfa. Elevate your reptiles' diet with Zoo Med's GUT-LOAD and ensure they receive a properly balanced diet.
