Red Anthurium Anthurium

These are red anthuriums sold by bloom size rather than by named variety, in boxes of 50 Small, 30 Medium or 20 Large. What looks like a petal is a spathe — a single waxy, heart-shaped bract wrapped around the narrow spadix that holds the actual flowers — and it has the surface of polished enamel rather than anything soft. Because these are graded by size instead of variety, the exact shade of red shifts with what the farm is cutting that week. Anthuriums are unscented and are the longest-lasting flower in the catalogue, holding two weeks or more in a vase and often longer. PetalDriven ships anthuriums farm-direct and overnight anywhere in the US with free shipping, unarranged and ready to use, at wholesale prices with no tax ID required.

Shipping Info

  • Free US shipping on every order.
  • Ships FedEx Priority Overnight for next-day delivery.
  • Pick your delivery date on the calendar when you add anthuriums to your cart. The calendar shows the next available date.
  • Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday. We recommend Tuesday–Thursday, since a Friday arrival leaves no working day to sort out a problem before a weekend event.
  • Anthuriums arrive fully formed rather than in bud, so they need no opening time. Schedule delivery 1–2 days before your event and they're ready to use the day they land.
  • Each bloom ships in its own protective sleeve or cup. Leave the sleeves on until you're ready to design — the spathe is the whole flower, and a crease in it doesn't recover.

Care and Processing Instructions

  1. Unbox as soon as they arrive and handle them by the stem. A spathe is one smooth waxy surface; a fingernail mark or a crease shows permanently in a way it never would on a petalled flower.
  2. Never refrigerate anthuriums below 55°F (13°C). This is the one rule that matters most. They're a tropical flower and cold damage shows up as dark brown or black patches on the spathe within a day. Don't put them in the cooler with your roses.
  3. Fill a clean vase with a few inches of cool water and recut about 1 inch off each stem at an angle.
  4. Keep them at room temperature, out of direct sun and away from air conditioning vents and drafts.
  5. Mist the spathes every couple of days. Anthuriums take up water through the bloom as well as the stem, and misting is what keeps the surface glossy rather than papery.
  6. Change the water and recut every 3 to 4 days.
  7. If a bloom looks tired, submerge the whole stem and spathe in cool water for 10–15 minutes, then stand it back up. Anthuriums rehydrate through the bloom and usually come straight back.
  8. No opening time needed — the spathe is at full size on arrival and stays that way.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Every anthurium order is backed by PetalDriven's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If your flowers arrive damaged or in poor condition, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and your order number, and we'll make it right with a refund or exchange.

A small amount of natural variation in spathe size and shade is normal, and the spadix changing colour slightly as the bloom ages is not a defect. Cold damage from home refrigeration is not covered, so please keep them above 55°F.

Email info@petaldriven.com or call 1-888-738-2529. To qualify, get your flowers into water as soon as they arrive and follow the care instructions above. Claims submitted without photos or after the 48-hour window can't be accepted. See our full refund policy.
