The original prototype for this press was conceived in London by designer Max Frommeld. Frommeld's design proved extremely functional, but also possessed a minimalist aesthetic that drew it apart from other similar tools. Made in California, the press features walnut wood, melamine-faced Baltic Birch plywood, and brass fixtures: a beautiful piece to keep on display. Use with dry or fresh corn masa to make quick, delicious fresh tortillas at home, or with a variety of wheat, rice or legume-based doughs to make other types of flatbreads. Note: We recommend lining the press with a fresh length of parchment, wax paper or plastic wrap when using to prevent tortillas or flatbreads from sticking.
