This kitchen island design blends modern functionality with a French country sensibility. Inspired by vintage worktables and crafted with clean lines and warm materials, the finished piece feels both refined and relaxed—equally at home in a historic farmhouse or a thoughtfully updated kitchen.

Designed to serve as a hardworking centerpiece, the island offers generous drawer storage on one side and open seating on the other, making it ideal for both daily prep and casual gathering. The build itself is approachable for an intermediate woodworker and leaves room for personal touches, whether through finish choices or hardware details.

The following plans walk through each step of the construction process, from cutting materials to final assembly and finishing.
