The Little Jax Suede Chair Cover
Dining chairs take more punishment than anything else in the house. Every meal, every spill, every time somebody drags one across the floor. The seats go first, then the backs, and eventually the whole set looks older than it is.
These covers pull over the chairs you already own in a thick, soft suede-feel knit. They stretch tight to the shape of the chair rather than hanging off it, so the result reads as upholstery, not as a cover.

The photos show one chair, but this cover is not made for one shape. It is made for a size range. Square, rounded, curved, slatted or upholstered, if your armless chair falls inside the measurements below, the stretch fabric pulls the cover to its shape.
Check this first
One universal size, cut to fit the vast majority of standard dining chairs. If your chair falls inside the ranges below, it will fit. The spandex in the knit absorbs small variations either side.
| Measure | Fits | |
|---|---|---|
| Seat width | 15 - 17.5 in | 38 - 45 cm |
| Seat depth | 15 - 17.5 in | 38 - 45 cm |
| Backrest height | 17.5 - 19.5 in | 45 - 50 cm |
Armless chairs only. This is a one-piece cover for the backrest and seat. It is not cut to fit chairs with arms.
The smarter choice
A new dining set is a serious purchase and a week of disruption. In most homes the chairs are structurally fine. It is the fabric on top that has given up.
Why you will love it
A thick, fluffy-touch knit with a dense, brushed surface. It feels closer to upholstery fabric than to the thin, papery covers that give the category a bad name.
92% polyester with 8% spandex, so the fabric pulls in every direction and grips the corners of the seat instead of bunching at them.
An elasticated hem pulls in under the seat and holds the cover in position, so it doesn't slide forward every time somebody gets up.
Take it off, wash it cool, put it back on. Everyday marks, crumbs and spills come straight out.

Buy exactly what you need
Dining sets come in fours, sixes and the occasional odd five, so these are sold one at a time. Buy the number of chairs you actually have, with no spare cover sitting in a drawer.
Most people order four or six at once. Because they are single units, you can also cover just the two chairs that get used every day and leave the rest.
Make it yours
Neutrals that disappear into a room, and a few that give a plain dining set something to say. One color across every chair is what pulls a mismatched set together.
Good to know
If your seat is 15 to 17.5 inches wide and 15 to 17.5 inches deep, and your backrest is 17.5 to 19.5 inches tall, it will fit. The spandex gives enough stretch to handle small variations either side of that. Measure before you order. It takes thirty seconds and removes all the guesswork.
The whole chair. It's a one-piece cover that goes over the backrest and down over the seat, so the back and the seat are both covered.
No. These are made for armless dining chairs. A chair with arms needs a different cut, and this one won't sit correctly over them.
One per chair. They're sold individually so you can buy exactly the number you have. Most dining sets need four or six.
The elasticated hem pulls in underneath the seat and holds it. On a very smooth or polished seat you may need to straighten it occasionally, but it won't shift through normal use.
Machine wash cool and air dry. Avoid a hot tumble dry, which shortens the life of the stretch fibres.
Choose your color above, and one cover per chair.
