Djeco's Do It Yourself Sweet Windmills are four pinwheels to make from pre-cut laminated sheets, illustrated by Seng Soun Ratanavanh, each folded onto a wooden stick with a plastic tip to spin on. The sheets are marked where they fold, so a five year old can do the assembly from the pictures.

The reason to make them rather than buy them finished is the moment they go outside: the two patterned sheets blur into a third pattern as they spin. Finished, they stand 39 cm tall, flowerpot height, for a balcony or a sandbox.
