Djeco's Memo Mix & Match is a memory game that stands up instead of lying down. Twenty-eight wooden tiles slot upright into a board, each one an animal top or an animal bottom illustrated by Ben Newman, and they go in facing away so nobody can see which is which. Players pull a tile, remember where it was, and work toward reassembling four whole animals to win.
Because the halves mix freely, the game produces things that have no business existing: a cat on a beaver's tail, a bear with a seahorse underneath. Getting the animal right is the aim. Getting it wrong is most of the fun of the ten minutes.
