Aurore Petit's Winter Pops Up! gets through the whole season in six pop-ups: bundling up for the first snow, a run down a snowy hill, hot chocolate, a fire to read beside, a sleepy bear who has the right idea, and fireworks to ring in the New Year.

Each scene stands up off the page in bold, high-contrast colour with a little foil catching the light, and the words are few enough that toddlers will be saying them along before long. The book itself is small and sturdy, shaped for toddler hands.
