I designed these boards as basic communication boards to use with adults who are in care who and are experiencing difficulty with expressive communication (post stroke, post medical procedure, etc..).

This is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD. Nothing will ship to you. 

I included two boards (English & Spanish) 

• Hospital room board (less symbols and related to hospital rooms, ideal for recovery rooms). I designed this board for my sister who is a nurse who works a recovery floor at a hospital to use with her patients when needed. I included two alphabet boards (I recommend laminating the desired alphabet board to the back of the communication board for easy access if needed).

• Broader communication board that was designed for a family friend who was taking care of a family member post stroke. This board is also helpful to have working in rehabs/assistive living facilities. This board has more symbols, color coding, alphabet/numbers, pain scale, etc. It is handy to have in the event you need to support a patient’s communication.

Please note: These boards are not intended to replace communication supports in place or recommendations by medical staff or speech pathologists.

To use: Patients can point to the picture symbols on the board if they are unable to communicate. Modeling (showing) may be needed to help the patient learn the symbols.

Suggested assembly: Print in color and laminate or print on card stock and place in page protector
