This is a detailed print of my original painting titled 'I Know He Holds You Among The Stars'. This is a new version of my original piece. In this version, Jesus is holding one baby, and the parents are holding another baby.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, and October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Each year I love to create a new painting on October 15th in honor of the angel babies in heaven.

In this painting, Christ holds two angel baby across the veil from the baby’s parents. Christ and the baby are surrounded by a magical sky full of stars. Similarly, the mom’s dress is covered in stars, symbolic of her heart being with her baby despite their distance. While they hold their baby that is with them earthside, both parents have their hands placed on their baby in heaven, symbolic of how their love reaches across time and space. They feel their baby with them always, even though they are not physically with them. A butterfly flies next to the parents. In many cultures, butterflies are symbolic of loved ones who have passed away. In this painting, this butterfly symbolizes the angel baby's spirits, always near their loving parents. The colors of the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness ribbon are pink and blue, so those are the main colors in this painting.

Nothing I do or say can take the pain away from those who have experienced this loss. My only hope is that some of my work can help you feel seen, loved, and comforted. I frequently feel the Savior plant ideas and images into my heart that I know He wants you to see. I hope that today, this and the other images I share help you feel surrounded by your angel baby’s love. I know that Jesus holds them among the stars, and I know that one day you will be able to hold them among those same stars. I know you will be reunited with them and be able to tell them all the ways that they changed you and made your life so much more full of love.
