The Winning Tongue Plate Half Cheek Bit uses the extended plate, which per the manufacturer corrects breathing problems and stops displacement of the soft palate. The bit arms have limited travel, keeping pressure off the outer ring and away from the cheek and lips. The half-cheek shape adds light lateral guidance.

Best for

• Horses that need the extended plate's airway action
• Driving and harness work, where a half-cheek is the standard shape
• Light lateral guidance without full-cheek arms
