Pinot Floor solves this issue at the structural level. The metal tube is patented: it doubles as both the physical stem and the electrical conductor, routing power from base to head without a separate wire. The lamp is a circuit. The joint structure allows the lamp to be rotated, detached, and reassembled without tools. Angle the head toward a reading chair. Shorten the stem for a lower corner.
