Design, Inspiration & Quality: ‘The Jump’ is a unique and high-quality full-size silk pocket square, Made in England. It has been created in collaboration with contemporary French artist Miki de Goodaboom. She loves to paint everything, with every technique from traditional through to digital and sometimes mixing them all. Miki particularly enjoys sporting art with its challenges of capturing movement as well as time and space in two-dimensional form. Above all else, Miki’s painting reflects her life, in particular the use of vibrant colours expressing her passion for life.

Miki’s original is a mixed technique skiing artwork. ‘The Jump’ had twin inspirations. Firstly, the inherent struggle in all sport against others, against the elements, against oneself from which human achievement stems. Secondly, it was the dream of flying and with it freedom, if only for a moment, as the skier launches himself into the air.

In Macclesfield, the home of English silk printing, the artwork is reproduced with great care. This enables an excellent balance of design colour & clarity between the printed and reverse sides of the AAA quality Mulberry silk twill, ensuring the pocket square looks perfect whichever fold is used. The image is framed by the pocket square’s blue border and the skilfully hand-rolled & hand-sewn 'shoestring' hem in red. The overall quality of this pocket square from the UK's leading maker is what you would normally expect to find only on London's Savile Row or Jermyn Street.

Gift Presentation: 'The Jump' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the stylish skiing silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and her vibrant artwork.
