Selkies takes its name from the mythical shape-shifters of Scottish and Irish folklore, said to move between seal and human form in the waters off the coast. That sense of movement runs through the design with golden hemp picking out the design across a deep blue-green organic combed cotton background, echoing the selkie's passage between two worlds.
