This is the Megadyne XDV2 direct equivalent of Gates 6943, a 5L section lawn and garden V-belt with a 43″ (1092mm) outside length. It’s made by Megadyne, the Italian belt manufacturer, to the same section and length as the Gates belt.
Megadyne XDV2 belts are built for maintenance-free running in hard working conditions. The aramid cords absorb shock loads and keep the length constant, and the CR rubber body resists heat, oil and weather. They suit clutching drives and small pulleys, are static conductive, and work from −20 to +80°C.

Is it a direct equivalent?
Yes. It’s the same 5L section and 43″ outside length as Gates 6943. It’s made and supplied by Megadyne, not Gates, so it carries Megadyne’s markings (XDV58/430) rather than the Gates number.
How do I check it’s the right belt?
Look for Gates 6943 on the old belt or in your parts list. If the markings have worn off, measure round the outside of the belt with a tape: it should be about 1092mm. A worn belt may measure slightly long.
