For years the name Pierre Jeanneret has been synonymous with one thing, his iconic teak and rattan furniture. While the designs have gained tremendous popularity over the past decade, much of the life of the Swiss born designer and architect remained untold.

Although our work at Object Embassy is predominantly motivated by a love for Jeanneret’s designs, we also appreciate that the designs cannot be separated from its creator. Therefore we wrote this book - the first book ever to be published about the life of Jeanneret.

While we did not set out to write a definite biography on Pierre Jeanneret we are delighted to provide an accessible introduction to this great architect who, in our humble opinion, has not received the publicity he deserves.
