The Lister Beaded Leather Bra Top

The Lister Beaded Leather Bra Top is an architectural cage top that reimagines traditional corsetry through a geometric, sculptural silhouette. Designed to reshape the upper torso without constraining the bust, its structured lines contrast the body’s natural curves while creating a distinctive corset-inspired form.

Intricately beaded panels draw inspiration from the delicate wings of dragonflies, adding refined texture to the architectural construction. Leather bra straps and an adjustable under-bust belt provide structural support while leaving the bust unrestricted, yet in place.

This pieces is named after Anne Lister- a 19th-century British landowner and diarist, who is renowned for her pioneering efforts in LGBTQ+ history. Known as the "first modern lesbian," Lister's detailed diaries, containing over four million words, documented her personal life, business acumen, and romantic relationships with women. Muscular and androgynous in appearance, she dressed only in black. Her interests in medicine, mathematics, landscaping, mining, railways, and canals led her to become an entrepreneur, earning her several sources of income, with which she funded many extensive travels in Europe.

Her fearless self-expression and defiance of societal norms continue to inspire entire generations.
