Asaloda is a Belarusian diploid plum with dark red skin, yellow flesh and a sweet, strongly aromatic flavour. The breeder describes medium, round fruit averaging 25 grams, with very juicy flesh and a small stone that clings to it.
It ripens in the first half of August in Belarus. The breeder records it as self sterile and identifies Mara and Vitba as suitable pollinizers. A North American hardiness zone and performance on American plum rootstock were not established in that record.
Our fall plants are grown on American plum rootstock.
