The Super Antarctic Black & Orange is a 38 mm Swiss automatic watch with a black dial, vivid orange accents and yellow applied indexes with Super-LumiNova. It is a continuation of a rare 1970s Super Antarctic reference, one of the boldest designs of the line, presented by the brand as a limited edition.
The story began at Cenic, a historic watch repair shop in Grenchen, where Guillaume Laidet found an original Antarctic Black & Orange among vintage pieces. The colour combination stood out at once; he acquired the watch and used it as the model for this edition. Nivada Grenchen's own story starts in the same town: 1926, Grenchen.
Faithful to the original proportions, the 316L stainless steel case measures 38 mm, 12 mm thick and 45 mm lug to lug, with shiny and brushed surfaces, a signed screw-down crown and a closed steel caseback set with a gold medallion. A double-domed sapphire crystal and 10 ATM water resistance suit daily wear. The Soprod P024 automatic movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 38-hour power reserve, with or without date. See the other Super Antarctic watches, including the Super Antarctic 3.6.9 Black.
