The warm taupe pattern against the ivory porcelain gives you something much more interesting than a plain neutral vase, but it still leaves you plenty of freedom with the rest of the room. From there, I’d play with contrast. I love it with deep merlot or burgundy florals because that richer color makes the taupe pattern feel stronger, while the rounded shape of the vase balances beautifully against taller, more directional branches. I’d keep the pieces around it simpler—stone, dark wood, glass, or one small brass accent—and let the pattern do its job.
