MiteGuard's allergen barrier mattress cover provides relief for dust mite allergy sufferers who may be struggling with their asthma, rhinitis (runny nose/cough) or eczema. Your mattress is one of the key stores of dust mites and dust mite faeces in your bedroom. Reducing your exposure to the allergen on a nightly basis can allow your immune system some respite - letting you manage your health and sleep better.

Made in New Zealand from 100% cotton precision micro-weave fabric, this mattress cover is designed to help reduce allergy symptoms triggered by dust mite allergen. The fabric is called 'microweave' because the gaps in the weave have been reduced to only 3.5 microns. Scientific pressure testing with real allergen has shown our mattress fabric, seams and zip construction is laboratory tested as a barrier to dust mite and cat allergen. Allergen particles in your mattress cannot get through to the sleeper.

The MiteGuard® Dust Mite Mattress Cover's fully-enclosed design prevents allergen from escaping from the mattress, and also prevents any new dust mites from getting into the mattress to establish a population. This design helps allergy sufferers to sleep better. It has an internal flap system to eliminate the risk of dust mite or allergen transmission through the zip. The quality YKK zip extends halfway around the cover so you can easily insert your mattress and zip it up.

We have chosen this advanced cotton fabric because it is scientifically tested, functional, as well as durable and comfortable to sleep on.

MiteGuard® standard mattress covers fit 240 - 250mm (24cm) deep mattresses - see the size guide by the selection bar. For deeper mattresses up to 35cm deep choose the 340mm deep option when selecting the size.
