Create cool optical illusions with these spinning top printable templates. Cut, colour and create fun patterns and spin your tops to create awesome effects.

Some of these optical illusions are best viewed on a video screen using a phone or tablet. This is because when a spinning object's rotation speed perfectly aligns with a camera's frame rate, it creates a "wagon-wheel" effect. This makes the spinning object appear to warp, freeze, or spin backward on screen, an effect our eyes cannot see in real life.

The printable includes 6 pages and makes a lovely activity to engage with at home or in an educational setting.

 Suitable for all ages.
