This four-ply yarn is a combination of 50% lotus fibre and 50% 19.5 micron superwash merino wool, hand dyed with natural dyes.  It has 490 yards/448 metres in a 115 gram skein.  The yarn is next-to-skin soft, has a lovely sheen  and is great for knitting, weaving and crochet.  

The yarn is milled in Canada. It is then dyed in our home studio using natural dyes and environmentally-sensitive processes. 

The dyes are all derived from nature, and come from plants or insects.  Where possible, we source local Ontario materials.  When these are not available, we look to Canadian distributors.

Some colour variations between skeins may occur. We recommend alternating skeins if more than one is used in a project.  Although we try to represent the colours as accurately as possible, the picture on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product.

Products made from this yarn should be hand washed in cool water with wool wash and laid flat to dry.  

This yarn is suited to hats, shawls, scarves, mitts, and sweaters.  It is a light fingering weight.
