Simple Wiring Instructions: An inline switch is placed along the hot (positive) wire in the circuit. Connect either wire from the switch to the + terminal of the plug, and connect the other wire to the + terminal of the light socket. (In general, the black wire is considered the hot or positive (+) connection.)
