This handcrafted lamp dimmer is designed for DIY pipe lamp enthusiasts. Made from raw aged brass and black gas pipe components, it is perfect for tinkerers looking to add a custom, steampunk-inspired touch to their industrial lamp creations. It offers seamless control over your lamp’s brightness. It's durable, unique, and built to impress.
This piece is constructed using a 1½" iron pipe reducing coupling and a solid brass cap, which I treated with an aging solution to achieve an antique brass effect. It is topped with a custom-made threaded metal and brass turn knob. The component is designed to attach to a 1/2” NPT (National Pipe Taper) fitting.
If you’re crafty enough to build your own dimmer, I’ve got you covered—grab the brass cap right here: Brass Cap If you dream up a better design, share some pics—we’d all love to see your genius at work.
* Easy installation: In-line switch. One wire connects to the + of the plug, and the other wire connects to the + of the lamp holder
