Folks throughout the forest call her Madame Tinker. She has yet to meet a mechanical thing she couldn’t coax back to life.
The gears whisper what they need, if you’re willing to listen. Madame Tinker listens closely, with a tool in hand and a cup of tea cooling nearby. Sometimes she’s talking to herself; sometimes, she says, the clocks answer.
This one-of-a-kind freestanding sculpture brings Madame Tinker into her little world of salvaged clockwork: an open metal case filled with gears and tiny instruments, a floral teacup, and mechanisms tucked into her apron and gathered at her feet. Her monocle, white curls, pointed hat, patterned dress, and lace-trimmed apron give her the air of someone who knows exactly how to persuade a stubborn clock.
Her face and hands are sculpted and painted by hand, and the assembled details make every part of her workshop worth a closer look.
