The Pleated Porcelain Cup is handcrafted from ultra-light, ultra-thin ceramic, perfect for your daily rituals. The ceramic is porous and will stain over time in the tradition of "Hagi no nanabake" (萩の七化け) — "Hagi's seven transformations."

Each item is uniquely handcrafted, and will change over time, emphasizing the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi — beauty in imperfection and transience.
