The Temple Tangor is a unique citrus variety that is often called an orange but is believed to be a tangor, a natural hybrid between a tangerine and a sweet orange. It produces medium to large fruit with a thick, pebbled deep orange rind and richly flavored flesh that perfectly balances sweetness with a pleasant tart finish. This exceptional flavor has made it a longtime favorite for fresh eating and juicing.
Although the Temple Tangor grows into a somewhat smaller tree than many citrus varieties, it is moderately vigorous and highly productive. Because it ripens later in the season and is more sensitive to freezing temperatures, it performs best in warmer climates where it can enjoy a long growing season.
