This cordless dog clipper set is supplied with three high-grade professional Japanese Steel A5 blades: a #10 blade, a #7 Skip Tooth blade and a #5 Skip Tooth blade, making it particularly well suited to the grooming needs of the Welsh Terrier.
Welsh Terriers have a dense, wiry, weather-resistant double coat consisting of a harsh outer coat and a softer undercoat. Their distinctive coat requires regular grooming to remove loose hair, prevent matting and maintain a neat, tidy appearance. Whilst hand-stripping is traditionally recommended to preserve the coat's natural texture and colour, many pet Welsh Terriers are clipped for easier coat maintenance. This carefully selected blade combination is ideal for removing bulk coat, managing thicker areas and keeping the coat neat and practical between grooming sessions.
The #10 blade is ideal for close clipping work, making it perfect for hygiene areas, paw pads and detailed finishing where precision is essential. The skip tooth blades are designed to feed thicker, denser coats through the blade more efficiently, making them ideal for bulk coat removal and clipping through the Welsh Terrier's dense, wiry coat.
Two cutting lengths are included in this Welsh Terrier Set. The #7 Skip Tooth blade leaves approximately 3.2mm of coat, making it ideal for shorter body clips and removing dense coat efficiently, whilst the #5 Skip Tooth blade leaves approximately 6.4mm of coat, allowing you to maintain a fuller finish while still tackling thicker coats with ease.
