I have two kids, and they are very different people. I wanted both of them in one ring, so I set two half-carat diamonds side by side in a carved gold dome: one round, one cushion. Both diamonds, different shapes.
I usually design in odd numbers, so two felt a little wrong at first, and that’s what I ended up loving about it. It’s balance over symmetry, which is what I’m always after. If you have two of your own, you already understand. Who wears it after you is a conversation I’ll leave to them.
