While its little sister, the Lala blouse, has long been a Mayle staple, the Lalaoune is what happens when the more grown up sister comes to town.  To make for a more sophisticated version, we lengthened the Lala's sleeves to maximize volume and drape, and cut the blouse in solid color silk crepe de chine to ensure that the Lalaoune could be worn on rotation all through the Fall and Winter. There's no wrong way to approach the tie-- leave it loose, gently knot it or tie it a time or two around the neck.  Contrast black silk piping at collar and cuffs.  Two buttons on each cuff.  As this version in silk crepe de chine is more lightweight, try layering underneath a slim Riva rib knit for a winning contrast.
