Some things on a table are meant to be noticed. A row of these painted bowls — red, blue, green, deep pink — does it without trying.
Rang Katori are brass bowls, spun and then hand-painted one at a time in Lahore, which is why no two colours sit exactly alike. Use them for chutneys and achaar, for nuts and mithai, for kohl or rings on a dresser. They multiply happily — a few, or a dozen down the length of a table.
The kind of useful, lovely thing a table feels emptier without.
