Join us for a beautifully immersive three-day workshop where you’ll create your very own vintage-inspired junk journal from a repurposed hardcover book. Taught by the talented and internationally loved Roxy Creations, this hands-on class is perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
Over the course of this 3-day workshop, you’ll:
Learn the fundamentals of slow stitching and create a stunning, tactile cover for your journal using original Roxy Creations textiles combined with vintage and new fabrics. You’ll explore colour, layering, and texture while stitching your unique cover.
Dive into the world of junk journaling! Learn how to construct and bind your journal using a beautiful mix of vintage papers, antique documents, ephemera, and Roxy Creations digital designs.
Add character and charm to your journal with handmade tags, journal cards, textile elements and other decorative details. This is where your journal truly becomes your own.
By booking into the first date listed, you’re securing your place for all three days – no separate bookings required.
No experience is necessary – this workshop is suitable for absolute beginners through to seasoned textile and paper artists. If you love vintage, slow stitching, mixed media, or journaling, you’ll feel right at home.
Roxy Creations is a creative collaboration between Australian sisters Rachel and Sarah, who share a lifelong love of sewing, painting, and all things vintage and beautiful. Though they live on opposite sides of the world – Rachel in Italy and Sarah in Australia – their passion for handmade crafts and storytelling through fabric and paper continues to connect them.
Together, they create richly layered textile pieces, slow-stitched artworks, and enchanting junk journals filled with history and heart. Their mum often joins them when they teach, adding to the warm, family-centred feel of their workshops.
With a loyal global following on YouTube, Instagram, and Etsy, Roxy Creations is beloved for their inspiring tutorials, curated vintage materials, and heartfelt approach to creativity. This is a rare opportunity to learn in person from one of their beautifully considered classes.
