Designer's Insight: Why This 13 Air Case Exists

Michael Santoro
Founder & Chief Designer, MacCase
35 Years of Professional Design Experience

"The cumulative cost of buying cheap cases repeatedly almost always exceeds the cost of buying a quality one once."

"Professionals who invest in an iPad, the most expensive tablet available, with the highest resale value of any tablet on the market, often protect it with a case that will fail within a year. It's a decision that feels economical in the moment yet rarely is. Cheap cases wear out fast. The frame cracks, the fit loosens, the covers peel. Each replacement costs time, money, and does little to preserve the condition and resale value of your tablet. The cumulative cost of buying cheap cases repeatedly almost always exceeds the cost of buying a quality one once. That's the reason this 13-inch iPad Air case exists. Our ethically sourced, vegetable-dyed leather is built to last the life of your 13-inch iPad Air, not just the first year. One purchase. No replacements. Better value. And an iPad that holds its value because it's been protected by something worthy of it."
