The P-38 Can Opener was originally issued in 1942. Also known as the “John Wayne” because of the actor's role in US Army & Navy training films of that era, this can opener has since been used by generations of military personnel and is still a great addition to any galley, seabag or survival kit!

Electroplated steel, folds flat when not in use.  Per military specs, the small hole allows the P-38 to be suspended in boiling water for sterilization. Can also be attached to keys or dog tag chain. Engraved with MIL-J-0837.

Available in silver or blackout /anti-glare finish.
