A long run of colour down the middle of the table.
The Tessera weave, stretched into a long, narrow platter. Line up small bites, fruit or pastries and the pattern frames them; set it in a patch of sun and the colour lands on the linen on either side.
Put it next to the round plate and the square platter and the mosaic runs the length of the table. Every tile is painted by hand. The palette is fixed. The placement is not, so no two platters are quite the same.
Colour you can feel
The basket-weave texture is moulded into the glass, not printed on it. Run a finger across the surface and you feel every raised tile. It gives the platter grip and a soft, uneven edge, and makes the colour shift as the light moves across the table.

Care
Hand wash only, with a soft cloth, warm water and a little mild soap, then let it dry. Avoid boiling water, soaking, abrasive sponges and sudden temperature changes: that is what keeps the hand-painted colour bright.
Made by hand
Small bubbles, specks and subtle variations in colour and glass are part of the making process. Measurements may vary by a few millimetres between pieces.
Every Tessera is a little different. That is the point.
