The markhor is Lahore's animal, Pakistan's national beast, the wild spiral-horned goat of the northern mountains, drawn here mid-leap under a star and crescent. Beneath the city's name in worn cursive, it carries the same restraint as the rest of the line: a boxy cropped body in a mottled acid wash, no two alike.
