The Pinstripe Scarf by Antonia Shankland pairs six shades of Woolfolk Far in a beautifully simple progression of color and texture. Each shade flows into the next through an easy slipped-stitch pattern, creating subtle vertical “pinstripes” and a richly textured fabric.
Please note that the scarves in these photos contain discontinued colors. The kits include similar shades, but they are not the same.
Far is Woolfolk’s exceptionally soft worsted-weight merino, with a chainette construction that gives the stitch pattern crisp definition while keeping the finished scarf wonderfully soft against the skin. Using six colors makes this a satisfying way to play with a tonal palette—from dramatic dark-to-light combinations to warmer, softer gradients.
The scarf begins and ends with ribbing, with the pinstripe pattern worked between. As each new shade is introduced, it overlaps with the color before it, making the transitions feel gradual rather than sharply striped. The finished scarf measures approximately 10" wide x 79" long.
