Themes!

Coding and Game Design

Party-goers will learn coding basics by creating their own game on Scratch, a free, beginner-friendly blocks-style coding platform. We'll start off the workshop with some quick info on computer basics and core Scratch-skills, and then spend the rest of the time creating our video game!

Crafting and Electronics

Party-goers will learn simple electronics and get to flex their crafting skills by making their very own light-up Paperbot! We'll start off the workshop by introducing our Paperbot and learning a couple of things about circuits and electronics. Then we'll work on creating our very own, leaving plenty of time for customizing our character with colour, costumes, and more!

3D Design and Printing

Party-goers will learn how to express their creativity through TinkerCAD, a free, beginner-friendly 3D design software. In the first half of the workshop, we'll walk through the ins and outs of the software, and in the second half we'll get to building!

Robots and Crafting

Party-goers will build simple circuits to create little wobbly "robots", and decorate with an array of craft materials to bring out the personalities of their funky characters. The activity will begin with learning how a circuit works and a discussion on robots. Then we'll build and craft our own WobbleBots, and discover where our creativity takes us.

* Please note: unless confirmed beforehand, hosts will need to stay for the duration of the party. Our facilitators will manage the delivery of the activity, however, for the enjoyment of current and future guests we request the assistance of the hosts to help ensure the space is kept safe and tidy. An extra cleaning fee may be charged for excessive mess.
