The Low-Voltage Advantage

Running on 24 volts DC instead of mains voltage significantly reduces the risk of electric shock, exactly what you want near a pool, an outdoor shower, a boat's wet zones, or any covered deck where rain and splashback are part of daily use. Clear glass keeps the filament visible, so the bulb still reads as a design feature rather than a purely technical fix bolted on for safety reasons alone, holding its shape and colour the same way the mains-voltage version does. When switched off, the distinctive teardrop silhouette and visible filaments give the fitting a sculptural quality that holds its own in daylight.
