Eiderdown is the rarest of insulations, gathered by hand from wild eider nesting grounds on a protected wildlife sanctuary along the St. Lawrence River in Quebec. The birds return to the same shelter year after year, and a portion of every sale supports the sanctuary that keeps it safe.
Though it tests at 700 loft, eiderdown's density and cling give it the warmth of a 1000 loft down, laid in an even, featherlight layer. St Genève crafts the duvet by hand in Canada, enclosing the down in a 400 thread count cotton jacquard woven in Germany, with a subtle sheen and a soft, easy drape. Each one is made to order, finished with white satin piping, and sewn with a coin inside, a Scandinavian blessing of health and prosperity. A true heirloom, and one of the finest things you can sleep beneath.
