The Lifesaver Lush is a soft, printed minky waterproof mat; triple-layer, known to hold 8–18 cups (68–144 oz / 2–4.25L) without leaking through, and genuinely comfortable against skin. The printed minky faces up: soft, stay-dry, and designed to be seen rather than hidden. It looks like something you chose to have in your bedroom. Because it is.
Use it for overnight incontinence, heavy periods, postpartum recovery, intimacy, night sweats, pets, or any situation where reliable leak protection should also feel genuinely comfortable. Machine-washable and built to last.

Top Layer (Soft Printed Minky)
- Soft, stay-dry, and moisture-wicking: wicks moisture away from skin so you feel dry, not damp, even after a heavy leak.
- The printed side faces up on the Lush: what you see and feel is the decorative layer, not a waterproof backing.
- Softer and more plush than charcoal fleece, and shakes pet hair off more easily too.
Middle Layer (Absorbent Microfiber Core)
- Locks moisture in fast and holds it under pressure.

Wash & Care:
The type of mess determines how to wash it. Here is a simple breakdown:
For lightly soiled mats (new items, drool, food spills, grass, dirt, and similar everyday messes), no pre-rinse is needed. Just wipe away any solid matter and toss it in the wash.
- Select a heavy-duty cycle (longest cycle) in warm water (max. 140F / 60C)
- Use a full amount of a good detergent (we recommend Tide Original)
- See drying tips below before storing
For heavily soiled mats (urine, feces, blood, vomit), a pre-rinse before the main wash is important to prevent odor and staining. Do not let the mat sit soiled for more than 3 days.
- Wipe away any solid matter and rinse promptly after use
- Run a pre-rinse or quick/speed wash cycle in warm water with a small amount of detergent (use cold water for blood)
- Follow with a heavy-duty wash (longest cycle) in warm water with a full amount of detergent
- See drying tips below before storing
For all washes: Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and castile or coconut-based soaps, as these reduce absorbency over time.
For oil or cream-based stains: Pretreat with a small drop of blue Dawn dish soap, hand wash, and rinse thoroughly before putting it in the machine.
Drying the Lush (important):
The Lush is large and waterproof, which means it might need extra attention to dry fully before storing to avoid mold and mildew.
- After the wash cycle finishes, run a second spin cycle with the absorbent side (the solid PUL back) facing outward toward the drum. This removes as much water as possible before drying.
- Hang to dry whenever you can, in a spot with good airflow and with the absorbent side facing up. If drying indoors, a fan helps speed things up significantly.
- If using the dryer, tumble dry on low-medium and remove immediately when the cycle ends.
- Always make sure the mat is completely dry before folding or storing.
