The Single Adjustable Task Light carries two separate sources on one round faceplate. A small cylindrical head projects from the disc on a swivel arm and throws a tight beam onto a book, a desk or a work surface, while a second emitter concealed behind the plate washes the wall around it in a soft halo. Two touch controls on the face run the two independently, so either works on its own.
The result covers both jobs a bedside or desk fitting is usually asked to do. The spot gives enough light to work by without lifting the whole room, and the halo on its own leaves a low glow that serves as a night light or simply as interest on the wall once the task is done. The disc stands slightly proud of a smaller rear body, and that gap is what the backlight escapes through. It suits bedheads, guest rooms, hotel style fitouts, hallways and living room walls.
