Northern V-Bar Tricep Pushdown Attachment

A V-bar attachment to keep your elbows locked in. The narrow V angle holds your hands close, so the push comes from the triceps instead of the shoulders. Built for your cable machine isolated tricep pushdowns workouts.

Key Features:

Tight V Angle

The V-angle bar keeps hands close and elbows tucked for a triceps-isolated push.

Knurled Rubber Grip

Textured surface for a secure hold when your hands get sweaty or the final reps.

Flared End Caps

Firm stopping point at the end of each handle. Stop the hand sliding off mid-rep, even under load.

Chrome Bar

Solid, polished build that resists wear for everyday use. Use the tricep pushdown bar attachment everyday.

Quick-Clip Attachment

Easy to use carabiner clip for fast hook-up in your cable machine and swap-out between exercises.

Ideal For

Cable Machine Arm Workouts

Add a tricep pushdown cable attachment to your cable setup for tricep pushdowns and suitable cable extension variations.

Focused Tricep Training

Keep your upper arms close to your torso and straighten the elbows without swinging the shoulders forwards.

Home Gyms and Commercial Training Facilities

Train in your garage or home gyms, workout in any training studios and commercial training facilities equipped with a cable machine or pulley system in power racks.

Progressive Cable Training

The fixed grip provides a repeatable movement for adding weight or reps as your triceps become stronger.

Beginners, Intermediate and Experienced Lifters

Easy for beginners to set up. Ready for experienced lifters who want a stable handle for harder cable sets.

How to Use the V-Bar for a Cleaner Tricep Pushdown

Attach It to the High Pulley

Connect the tricep pushdown bar attachment securely to the upper pulley and check that the carabiner is fully closed. Always start with low and choose a load that is comfortable for you.

Set a Stable Stance

Stand while facing the cable machine with your feet position around hip-width apart. Slightly bent your kness, brace your core and maintain a neutral spine.

Keep Your Elbows Tucked

Hold the v-bar tricep handles with your palms facing inwards. Maintain your elbows pins to your ribs and keep your upper arms mostly still.

Extend Your Arms

Press the bar way down by straightening your elbows. Do not lean over the attachment or try to use your shoulders or bodyweight to move the bar down.

Control the Return

Gradually bend your elbows as the V-bar tricep attachment rises. Allow your elbows to bend gradually as the V-bar rises. Make sure to breath before stopping. Stop before the load pulls your upper arms forwards or removes tension from the triceps.

Increase the Load Gradually

Add heavier weight load once you can control both phases of every repetition without swinging your torso or allowing your elbows to drift. Increase by smaller load.

Build Out Your Cable Machine Setup

Switch between the fixed V-bar attachment  or other cable machine attachments for different grip positions and start your strength training workouts.
