The fox mask is a country motif with a long life in men's jewellery, and here it is worked small in 9ct gold. Ears pricked, the muzzle tapering to a point, the face modelled with fine texture across the brow and cheeks so the light breaks up rather than flattens.
A tie tac fixes through the tie and holds it to the shirt placket. Sit it a little below the mid point of the chest, between the third and fourth buttons, and it keeps the tie still without the wider footprint of a slide. The scale suits a plain tie or a small repeating pattern better than a busy print.
Field motifs of this sort carry well outside the shooting season. The tac arrives in a presentation gift box.
