A chequerboard of black and white squares across 35mm webbing, finished with silver-toned clips at each end. The pattern runs the full length of the strap, so nothing plain shows when the jacket comes off.

Clips fasten to the outside of the waistband, so these work with any pair of trousers rather than only those made with buttons inside. Metal sliders on each strap set the drop to your own height, and the elastic keeps the trouser line steady as you move.

Worn under a waistcoat the check is lost, so these are best seen with shirtsleeves or an open jacket. They arrive in a presentation gift box, which makes them easy enough to hand over as they are.
