The Grace 16X Elite can quilt up to 2,100 Stitches Per Minute (SPM). The built-in stitch regulator has four different stitching modes:

1. Stitch Controlled Cruise - In this setting, the needle continues to move, even when the longarm stops. You can control the speed of the needle bounce and adjust the stitch size.
2. Stitch Regulated Precise - This mode will create perfect stitches to match the speed of your movement. This is a great choice for ruler quilting when you need to shift the ruler to a new area.

4. Manual Mode - You can turn off the stitch regulator using this setting. Control the machine speed using the touchscreen or handlebar buttons.

How is the Grace 16X Elite not the Best Long Arm Quilting Machine?

The limiting factor for any longarm machine is the size. A 16-inch throat sewing machine seems massively huge when placed in a sewing table. When quilting on a Grace quilt frame, however, you can only quilt a 10-inch quilt block in one pass.

If you mostly piece 12-inch quilt blocks, this could feel inconvenient. You'll need to quilt half your quilt block, then advance the quilt to quilt the other half.
