Better Grass for Shady Areas

Struggling to grow grass under trees, between houses, or in other low-light areas? Lawn Synergy Shade Pro Grass Seed is designed specifically for parts of the lawn where traditional cool-season grasses struggle because of limited sunlight.

Shade Pro combines shade-tolerant fine fescues with turf-type perennial ryegrass to provide quicker establishment, fine texture, and dependable coverage in filtered-light and partially shaded areas. It’s an excellent choice for northern and transition-zone lawns with approximately 2–6 hours of filtered or indirect sunlight per day.

The fine fescues provide the shade tolerance and softer texture, while perennial ryegrass helps establish the lawn more quickly. The result is a natural-looking, rich green lawn better suited for difficult low-light areas.

Shade Pro still needs some sunlight to thrive. It is not recommended for areas with no direct or filtered light, consistently wet soil, or heavy foot traffic.
