Made for enjoying beer, this stoneware cup features the traditional kohiki technique, in which a darker clay body is coated with white liquid clay slip. The milky-white surface contrasts with the exposed brown clay near the base, while vertical ridges rise along the tapered body. The smoother upper section and gently flared rim complete its distinctive shape. Each handmade cup has slight variations in its finish.
The cup’s substantial stoneware construction gives it a reassuring weight in the hand. Although designed for beer, it can also be used for cocktails and other cold beverages, making it a versatile addition to the table.
