Cosmo is a plush Russian tortoise that commemorates the two resilient tortoises selected to journey aboard the historic Zond 5 mission in 1968.

Launched into the cosmos during the height of the Space Race, Cosmo recalls the remarkable voyage where two tortoises endured six days of weightlessness, traveling 250,000 miles to become the first living creatures to successfully circle the moon and back.

From surviving a rough splashdown in the Indian Ocean to cementing a legacy in space exploration, this plush honors one of science's most enduring and unlikely pioneer journeys
